Huntsville, AL — December 3, 2025Summit 7 takes pride in a proactive approach to security; its commitment to data protection extends beyond obligations and into organizational priorities. In support of the goal to continually improve its security posture, Summit 7 has achieved ISO 27001 certification.

ISO 27001 is a voluntary certification focusing on Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), issued by the International Organization for Standardization. The certification encompasses 93 controls within four themes: organizational controls, people controls, physical controls, and technological controls.

“Our recent ISO 27001 certification underscores our continued commitment to safeguarding sensitive information,” said Joy Beland, VP of Cybersecurity Compliance. "Summit7’s workforce is instilled with a culture of precision and adaptability, driven by a leadership team attuned to the dual imperatives of client success and regulatory adherence.  This ISO certification builds upon the commitment we have already made in achieving our CMMC Level 2 Certification earlier this year.”

The Defense Industrial Base is a dynamic environment marked by shifting DoW policies, emerging cyber threats, and the rapid evolution of cloud technologies. These factors collectively define Summit 7’s ISMS and its need to remain agile yet resilient in its own operations as well as those of its clients.

Aligning with the ISO 27001 is a strategic asset that underpins Summit7’s stewardship of security in a high-stakes domain.
