Huntsville, AL — October 03, 2025 — Summit 7 has reached a major milestone: helping 50 organizations earn their CMMC Level 2 Compliance. Each certification represents a critical step forward for the Defense Industrial Base, and we’re proud to celebrate this achievement alongside our clients.
Overall, 366 companies currently hold a CMMC Level 2 Certification, with about 14% of these being Summit 7 clients. While this is an exciting milestone for Summit 7, these are 50 monumental achievements by early CMMC adopters who have taken the initiative to protect national security before the requirements officially show up in government contracts beginning November 10, in accordance with the 48 CFR final rule.
“It is fantastic to know that these 50 companies are fully ready, prepared, and credentialed to pursue their desired contracts,” Scott Edwards, CEO of Summit 7, said. “Most of their competitors are not going to be ready, which is going to dramatically increase their probability of win for contracts over the next 12-24 months.”
Summit 7’s clients aren’t just prepared on paper. These companies are visionaries who have been working toward their NIST 800-171 and CMMC goals for years and are now more than ready to uphold security standards while providing essential support to the warfighter.
“The Department of War wants a secure and prepared industrial base. There is too much going on in the world to see companies compromised or deciding to leave the fight,” Scott Edwards said. “Summit 7 is prepared to assist thousands of companies achieve certification to ensure that our research, development and industrial capacity is not diminished in the face of these global challenges.”
As the market for CMMC Level 2 security intensifies, Summit 7 anticipates completing its next 50 certifications much quicker, potentially by the end of 2025.
